Punchdrunk

Punchdrunk is a contemporary theatre company, created by practitioner Felix Barret, that specialise in immersive theatre, a form of promenade total theatre, focused on engaging all the senses of an audience. It was founded in 2000, and has since engrossed audiences for 24 years.

Barret studied a degree in Theatre Studies at Exeter University but surprisingly didn't enjoy going to the theatre. The idea of a dark auditorium bored him and he found experiences of traditional theatre with a passive audience was unmemorable. He set out to create an experience that would empower the audience and make them remember the experience.
